What's the difference between oil burners and essential oil diffusers?

The most common way to use essential oils is to simply diffuse them in the air, so if you’re looking for an easy way to enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy, a diffuser is all you need. But if you’re interested in a more therapeutic approach to aroma or if you want to use your oils topically, a traditional oil burner provides a convenient heat source for therapeutic applications also but does not have the ultrasonic technology in most oil diffusers.

How many drops of essential oil should I put in a 200ml diffuser?

Most experts recommend using around 20 drops of essential oil per 200ml oil or water base diffuser. However, it’s not necessary to measure the exact amount because the oil will slowly diffuse over a period of time.

How does buying an essential oil diffuser with Afterpay work?

Is diffusing essential oils around birds safe?

It’s generally safe to diffuse around birds, but you want to make sure that the room temperature is not too hot so as not to cause stress on the bird or cause their feathers to molt. Birds are very sensitive to heat.

What oil should I use for my diffuser?

Just like with other home aromatherapy products, you want to choose oils that are 100% pure and natural and organic.

Are oil diffusers better than candles?

Although essential oil diffusers do not emit as much fragrance, they have the advantage of releasing only pure, natural aromas. They’re also safer to use around children and animals.

Can you use an essential oil diffuser in an office setting?

Yes, but use the lowest setting (usually marked “1”) and make sure your essential oils are specifically formulated for the diffuser you’re using.

What kind of water does my diffuser need?

The manufacturers recommend using distilled water or filtered tap water.

Can a diffuser be used with a humidifier?

Most can, but check to make sure that the humidifier doesn’t have a strong enough output to overfill the diffuser. You’ll want to match the output levels and not put too much water in your diffuser.

Will an oil diffuser burn out my LED light?

While most of our customers enjoy the light on their oil diffusers, you may want to check with your manufacturer’s instructions.
